Delhi, the capital of India, is not just a tourist place in India, but a feeling, a city that is full of stories of the past, lives in the heartbeat of the present and decides the direction of the future. Delhi is the land where once stood the city of Indraprastha of the Pandavas, where the Mughals built their crowns, where the British rule ran and where today the democratic foundation of the country rests firmly.

The history of Delhi is thousands of years old. The city of Indraprastha of the Mahabharata period is considered to be the ancient form of modern Delhi. Over time, Delhi saw the rule of many dynasties – Rajputs, Khiljis, Tughlaqs, Lodhis, Mughals and then the British. Every ruler left his mark here. Monuments like the Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and Purana Qila are still witnesses to that glorious history.
